WHAT IS VIRGIN HAIR?
Virgin Hair is hair that is in its natural state. No chemical changes, no color, has not been processed, and all cuticles* are intact.

WHAT IS REMY HAIR?
Remy hair is considered to be the finest quality of human hair. The term “Remy” means all the hair cuticles are healthy, intact, and flow in the same direction from the root to the tip. The cuticle is the outer layer of the hair strand and the structure is similar to the overlapping of shingles on a rooftop. Remy hair is typically collected directly from a woman’s head, and as it is cut it is held in a ponytail to ensure no hair strands fall to the floor. Remy hair will also last longer than non-Remy hair. Therefore, it can be reused, flat ironed, and colored.

HOW TO MEASURE THE LENGTH OF YOUR HAIR?
Each texture must be measured differently. The Straight Brazilin hair extensions should be measured to the fall of the hair. Start 0 at the weft and measure to the ends of the bundle. The Wavy and Curly Brazilian hair must be measured by pulling the hair straight. Again, start 0 at the weft; pull the hair straight from the ends, and the length will be at the tips of the hair. Each bundle will not measure exact when it is still wrapped in its band, as tension can affect the fall of each strand.

CAN THE HAIR BE STRAIGHTENED OR CURLED?
Your new virgin hair extensions can be treated as if it is your own hair. You are able to use a thermal (hot) tool to straighten, curl, crimp, etc. Keep in mind the hair does not have all the nutrients that a strand growing from your scalp will. Heat damage can cause breakage and dryness. Therefore, it is imperative that you use a heat-protecting product, always co-wash your hair, and protect it during sleep hours.

CAN I COLOR MY NEW HAIR?
Any chemical processes should be done by a professional or at least consulted by one. This purchase is an investment for you and chemically altering the hair can possibly damage it. Though, our virgin hair extensions can handle a coloring process very well, please be cautious. Once the hair is chemically altered incorrectly, the cuticle can become damaged and overexposed causing fraying, breakage, dryness, and tangling. This in turn will affect the overall look and feel of your hair. Chemical damage has no reverse button.

SHEDDING?
Minimally, no hair is absolutely perfect (Any company who states this phrase, as sales pitch is not being honest. Our company is an honest supplier). We have reinforced machine wefting, to minimize shedding to nearly none. You may see a few strands here or there, but nothing troubling. The most effective way to avoid shedding is by sealing the wefts*.
*(See “How do I seal my wefts?”)

HOW DO I SEAL MY WEFTS?
Our weft sealer is available for purchase at the Shop tab –Accessories. Here is a “How To” video to show you how to use the sealer.

WHAT DOES CO-WASH MEAN?
Co-washing simply means conditioner washing. It is a key task in extending the life of your extensions and keeping them healthy. We recommend a co-wash once a week with moisturizing conditioner to ensure your hair gets the nutrients and moisture it needs. When you first receive your extensions it is important to co-wash the hair as it has been through HHC employee hands, manufacturers’ hands, packaging, etc. Shampooing the hair can strip the hair entirely too much. Always use WARM water, as hot water will overexpose the cuticle of the hair.

HOW MANY BUNDLES SHOULD I ORDER?
The key to determining how many bundles to purchase depends on the lengths you are wanting. The longer bundles have a shorter weft/track as the shorter bundles have longer wefts/tracks. For a full sew in weave we recommend 4-5 bundles of hair. For lengths over 16”, we recommend ordering 5-6 bundles of hair. If you desire a hair weave with a lot of volume, you will need 4-5 bundles or 4 bundles with a closure. A closure piece is a great addition to your install, as you will have no leave out. This is considered a full-protected style and none of your hair will be exposed.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO RECEIVE MY PACKAGE?

It will take 24 to 48 hours to process each order, unless it is over the weekend. We do not operate after 5pm est. Friday and we return at 10am est. Monday. You will receive your order within 3-7 business days, excluding holidays. You will receive a tracking number via email to track your order with USPS. If it is a special order, or hair that is not in stock, please allow 7-10 business days. If there is any stock issue after purchase is made, you will be contacted with details via phone and email.  **Select textures may exempt from this and will be stated on all shopping pages.**

HAIR CARE

We are committed to offering the highest quality product available on the market. Ensuring that our clients are satisfied is Bossed Up Hair's mission. That satisfaction can be achieved by the following hair care tips. If problems arise, please contact us immediately. If there are no problems with the hair within the first two weeks, it can be assumed that the hair is fine. If problems arise after two weeks, the problem does not lie in the hair or workmanship. Please feel free to contact us and we will try to help you resolve your issue. During installation never cut any part of the top of the wefts. These wefts are double-stitched and delicate. If they are cut, then we cannot guarantee that they will not shed. Never sew through the top of the weft. Placing a needle through the weft will damage the wefts and may cause shedding.

Shampooing and Conditioning:
- We recommend sulfate free shampoo and protein free conditioners for longevity
- Any care product that contains protein should be used in moderation.
- Conditioning the hair is vital to its Routine Maintenance. However, it is possible to over condition the hair. Some signs that the hair is over-conditioned are brittleness and tangling. If this does occur, your best resource is to use a deep-cleansing or clarifying shampoo.
- If you must use hair spray or other styling products, try to avoid those containing alcohol. (Alcohol can be very drying to the hair.) Styling products create build up on the hair and it is recommended that a deep cleansing shampoo be used once or twice a month to remove build-up. Build-up can make the hair dry and can cause tangling. Use moisturizers to avoid this problem.
- If you must use heat, be sure you use a leave in conditioner first. Helpful Tips: Although our hair extensions are real, it is not receiving nutrients from the scalp like your own hair. Heat is your hair extensions biggest enemy. The more you use on it, the shorter the life span of your hair. We cannot guarantee that the hair will remain silky if you use the blow dry, flat iron, or curling iron.
- At bedtime, we highly recommend that you control the hair --braid, wrap or ponytail your hair together to prevent tangling. This will save time that would be spent untangling the hair the next morning.
- When shampooing the hair, always shampoo it stroking in a downward motion. Use your fingers in a horizontal motion between wefts to clean your scalp. When rinsing, do the same to be sure that all the shampoo and conditioner residues are shampooed out.
- If you perm, tint, bleach or cellophane the hair, you do it at your own risk. We do not guarantee any hair that has been chemically altered. If you must chemically alter it, then be sure to do a test strand first. This will allow you to test how the hair will withstand chemical application.
